As we come to the end of Term 2, I want to take a moment to celebrate the outstanding work produced by our students. Through the moderation process, I’ve met with all year levels to review the English work completed over the term and it’s impressive. Students and staff should be proud of the excellent results produced.

Report cards will be emailed home to families on Tuesday, 21 June 2022.

We’ll finish off the term on a high with Harmonies on the Hill on Tuesday and Wednesday evening and Sports Day for Years 3-6 on Thursday. My sincere thanks to all staff and parents who make these events a success.

Have a great week and enjoy a well-deserved holiday when they arrive.  School will start back on Monday 11 July.

On Monday the first meeting of the Youth Advisory Council was held at Mansfield State High School. The Youth Advisory Council is led by Member for Mansfield, Corrine McMillan. Five students will represent our Rochedale school community and be a voice for raising issues and sharing ideas that affect young people as part of the YAC. Well done to Fia, Jia, Hudson, Aric and Mia.

At their first meeting, they discussed current issues of concern to students and got to know one another in preparation for a busy rest of the year working together. This is a great opportunity for our representatives to have their voices heard on a range of issues.

We congratulate our Rochedale students for their selection and thank them for their commitment for the upcoming year.

To report a student absence, please call the absence line on 3340 8388 or text our SMS line on 0427 890 693.  These lines are both open 24 hours a day.

When recording an absence on either our phone line or SMS line, please state the following:

1. Your name
2. Student's name
3. Student's class
4. Reason for absence

Please speak clearly and slowly and help us with spelling of names when calling the phone line.

The school office is open each day from 8am to 4pm. 

Student State School Consent

It is the school’s usual practice to take photographs or record images of students and occasionally to publish limited personal information and student materials for the purpose of celebrating student achievement and promoting the school and more broadly celebrating Queensland education. Consent to use your child's name, photograph, voice/video recording or year level is requested at time of enrolment via the "State School Consent Form". If you wish to make changes to consent for your child please request a new State School Consent Form from the school office.

UNIFORM SHOP NEWS: Uniform shop (eq.edu.au)

Please note: Wednesday this week is our last trading day this term. We will re-open for over-the-counter sales every Monday & Wednesday from 8.15am-9.15 & 2.15pm-3.15pm from July 11. The Uniform Shop Convenor is only onsite on these days. Emails will be answered during off duty hours but please understand this may not mean immediately. Please note: We are no longer able to deliver Qkr orders direct to the classrooms. All Qkr orders are now delivered to the teacher's pigeonholes for the teacher to collect and then distribute to your child. This will happen on Mondays & Wednesdays. Or if you prefer you can pick up on the day in the afternoon, but please let us know by email so that we can hold on to it for you. Please speak with your teacher in the first instance if you do not receive your order. We appreciate your patience during this adjustment. Every effort is made to ensure the orders are delivered directly to the teacher for distribution to your child, if your order has not arrived by Thursday this week, please email your teacher. Our next General Meeting - Tuesday July 26, 7pm. All are welcome. We will be saying goodbye to some of our Executives at the end of this year. Why not come along to a meeting, no need to join immediately. There are many benefits of volunteering. Friday June 24, 2022 - Our first Red Day this year. Please see the flyer attached. Order through Qkr! to avoid missing out.

Qkr order cut-off is 8.45am for that day's delivery. Orders can be placed at any time during the day or night for the next day's delivery. Here at Rochedale State School Snack Shack, we are looking to support our fabulous staff for sticking with us while still providing us with our daily tuckshop needs. We are looking for a new Convenor as well as new volunteers and casuals, so we can continue and improve our service to the children of our school, but we cannot do this without your help. Mums, Dads, and Grandparents make great volunteers, and your child will love seeing you there! See what we do and how we prepare all the lunches on site. If you can spare some time, even if it is only half an hour in the mornings (when you do school drop off), every little bit helps. Make new friends and have a laugh. We are creating a new volunteer schedule of the times when we will need help.
