Welcome
to Rochedale State School and thank you for choosing to entrust us with your
child, their development and their education. Rochedale State School is an
exceptional school community where we all work together to realise our motto –
“Always Our Best”.
Rochedale
was officially opened in 1931 to serve the southern edge of Brisbane City and
today our current enrolment exceeds 1010 students from Prep to Year 6. As an
Independent Public School, Rochedale continues to explore innovations in
learning to ensure the best outcomes for all students.
We
are proudly the first primary state school in Queensland to implement the
International Baccalaureate (PYP) framework as the means for delivering the
Australian National Curriculum. By using this international accredited,
pedagogical framework we offer our students a global perspective on learning
which we believe connects our students to the real world and helps produce
outstanding citizens for the future.
Rochedale
State School is focused on providing an inclusive, tolerant, caring, safe,
creative, challenging and fun environment where all of our students can grow
and learn. Our teachers and staff are experienced and dedicated professionals
who are committed to helping every child reach their full potential.
Please
feel free to peruse this website to get a better understanding of our school or
to contact the office to arrange an interview or tour of our school.
It
is my privilege to be the principal of such a wonderful learning community and
we look forward to partnering with you in developing your child throughout
their primary education journey.
