Interschool Sport at Rochedale State School
Rochedale State School offers an interschool sport program for students in Years 5 and 6, providing opportunities to compete against other schools within the Mt Gravatt District. The program aims to develop physical fitness, teamwork, resilience, sportsmanship, and school pride in a safe and supportive environment. Interschool sport is held on Friday afternoons during both Semester 1 and Semester 2. Students are selected through school-based trials and represent the school at district venues, with transport provided by bus. All teams are supervised by staff coaches and supported with first aid and appropriate safety measures. Students selected for interschool sport are expected to demonstrate positive behaviour, commitment, and respect, both at school and when representing Rochedale State School at competitions. Participation is a privilege and reflects the school’s high expectations for conduct, effort, and teamwork.
